Current graduate student at Saint Xavier University pursuing a Master's in Secondary Education. Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from Saint Xavier University in 2010 with a g.p.a of 3.36. Completed and passed the Illinois Certification System's basic skills exam as well as a content exam in the field of biology.
Experience
I am currently working with Saint Xavier intstructors on providing a new method of teaching laboratoy work involving podcasts and videos. I have one year of laboratory research experience performing dna extractions and RT/PCR reactions. I currently still assist in research in my spare time. I also have one year experience working in Saint Xavier's Information Technology department. I have helped provide reviews for several students enrolled in Saint Xavier biology courses. I have worked as chemistry lab assistant as well during the summer of 2009 assisting in lab work for students. I have succeeded in lower and upper level biology courses such as General Biology, Anatomy, Genetics, Cell Biology, Histology, Interaction in the Environment, Developmental Biology and Physiology. I was also a Student Ambassador, Math Club member, Tri-Beta member, and a volunteer for the Special Olympics.
